Stoneville Man Taken Into Custody in Guilford County
The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate and make arrests involving individuals accused of failing to comply with North Carolina’s sex offender registry requirements.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 60-year-old James Brian Cambareri of Stoneville is a registered sex offender currently listed in Rockingham County.
Cambareri was arrested Sept. 4, 2026, by the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office.
He is listed as facing a Sex Offender/Child Premises charge and remains in custody. The bond amount was not immediately available.
Guilford County booking records confirm Cambareri was booked on Sept. 4.
The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said that, over the past several months, investigators have handled multiple cases involving individuals accused of failing to register, failing to report new addresses or failing to provide other information required under North Carolina law.
The Sheriff’s Office said it takes violations of sex offender registry requirements seriously and will continue to investigate and charge individuals who fail to comply with the law.
As with all criminal charges, Cambareri is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
