MARTINSVILLE, Va. — A woman was injured Thursday afternoon after being struck by a school bus at an intersection in Martinsville, according to police.
The crash occurred shortly after 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Church Street and Cleveland Avenue, the Martinsville Police Department said.
Emergency crews from Martinsville Fire & EMS responded to the scene and transported the woman to a local hospital. Authorities said her injuries appeared to be minor.
Police have not released the woman’s identity, and no additional injuries were reported. It is unclear whether students were on the bus at the time of the crash.
